Bite M.E.

Who says you have to be miserable when you’re ill?

Dealing with a chronic illness can be such a drag – but it doesn’t mean we have to play a role as helpless and miserable if that’s not how we feel.  It isn’t laughs all the time – no way!  But neither do we stop being people, complex people.

As Ricky Buchanan explains on his site www.notdoneliving.net healthy and happy are not necessarily the same thing.  I can feel like death but still smile, laugh and be pleased to see you!

While we’re at it … having a chronic illness doesn’t mean I can’t be young, creative and vivacious at the same time.  Take a look at Jenni Prokopy’s site www.chronicbabe.com and see for yourself.

Here’s to being a kick-ass chronic babe … even if I haven’t got the energy to actually kick-ass at least I can laugh about it 🙂
